OUR PACK

Our program runs based on the school year. Kids are more than welcome to join at any time but the optimal time to join is in September/October. We have a new parent meeting every September and paperwork is due every October.

Cub Scout Pack 35

What We Do

Some of the best things about Cub Scouting are the activities you get to do: camping, hiking, building and racing model cars, going on field trips, or doing projects that help your hometown and the people who live there. Cub Scouting means “doing.”

Blue and Gold Banquet

Blue and Gold Banquets are a tradition in Cub Scout packs.  They are a celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the BSA- February 8, 1910, and therefore takes place at our February pack meeting. The Arrow of Light ceremony takes place as well, where 5th graders cross over to a troop.

Cub Scout Camping

Learn to live in the outdoors! Camping takes you on exciting adventures into the natural world.  Not only does Pack 35 conduct a camp out once every year, we also visit new and exciting places for a 'camp in' as well. Camping out takes place at Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation down in Barnegat, for our family camp weekend every Spring. Our 'camp ins' have brought us to places such as the Philly Zoo, Camden Aquarium, Battleship NJ and the Intrepid to name a few. What an experience those were!

Pinewood Derby

Racing in a Cub Scout derby is great fun! You'll get to design and build your very own pinewood derby car, and see it perform on race day. Our Pinewood Derby is usually held in January and leaves lifelong memories. Parents who were former scouts, love reminiscing on their own cars they built when they were kids.

Outings and Field Trips

Excursions are a big part of Scouting. Cub Scouts get out and about with many kinds of outdoor fun, such as field trips, hikes, nature and conservation.

Service Projects

Doing service projects together is one way that Cub Scouts keep their promise "to help other people." We participate in the annual national 'Scouting For Food' every November and 'Wreaths Across America' every December.  We honor Earth day by volunteering to do park clean ups around Lacey and members of the armed forces by replacing American Flags at Good Luck Cemetery.

Scouting for Food is one of nation's largest food drives that Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Crews participate in to support their local food pantries and hunger-relief agencies.

The Scouts of the Jersey Shore Council have continuously exceeded expectations and fully stocked dozens of our partner agencies with bags and bags of non-perishable food. Pack 35 donates all of the food we collect during Scouting For Food to the Lacey Food Bank.
